The Chamber’s list of programs include a wide range of training, networking, business consulting and financing options for large and small organizations. Programs are continuously updated and enhanced to meet the needs of the business community, so be sure to check the calendar to see a schedule of upcoming Chamber events.


Leadership ConnectLeadership Connect is a comprehensive leadership development program designed to build leadership skills while raising community awareness. Class members gain an understanding of their own leadership style and the styles of others. They also go through a series of in-depth learning opportunities, which bring them face-to-face with local issues that will have an impact on their future. After an initial orientation and opening retreat in September, the class meets monthly through April. Graduation ceremonies take place at the Chamber Annual Dinner in May. Leads Networking GroupsLeads Networking Groups are roundtables of individuals, each representing a different industry, who meet weekly to share referrals and sales leads. Members also make a 1-minute presentation, and one member has an opportunity to make a 10-minute presentation at each meeting. Silent Observer Program

Ottawa County Silent Observer ProgramSilent Observer is a program for reporting tips on crimes anonymously.  Historically tips provided anonymously to Law Enforcement have been a valuable tool in solving crimes in Ottawa County.  The citizens of Ottawa County are served by 3 Silent Observer organizations across the County: Northwest Ottawa Silent Observer, Holland Silent Observer, and Eastern Ottawa Silent Observer serve the citizens of Ottawa County and the entire City of Holland.  Each of the 3 Silent Observer organizations has a governing board for administration of the individual programs.


The new County wide 24 / 7 Silent Observer number is 1-877-88-SILENT.

Roundtables are peer support groups that provide a forum for participants to share ideas and solve common problems in a confidential environment. Members are required to sign a confidentiality agreement and make a one-year commitment to their group. Current roundtables include CEO's, HR managers, and Lean Manufacturing. SCORE Counseling ProgramsSCORE volunteer counselors provide confidential business advice based on real world know-how and deep experience. They not only assist with business planning and start-ups, they act as mentors as the business grows. Lakeshore ATHENA ProgramLakeshore ATHENA Award Program

The Lakeshore ATHENA Award is presented annually to recognize individuals who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession, provide valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community, and actively assist women in realizing their full leadership potential.

The Lakeshore ATHENA Awards program is a collaboration of shoreline area communities - The Chamber of Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg; Holland Area Chamber of Commerce; and the Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce.
